Prepararation in progress

I thought it was high time that I got this blog up and running.  There comes a time in life when one realises that you aren't getting any younger, the children are grown up and if you continue to do what you are supposed to do you will never realise your dream.

"All changes even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind is part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter into another."

Anatole France

Chris retired at the end of March 2010 but seems to be working longer hours including weekends than he did in work.  He has of course been busy preparing the boat and I don't think that seems like work to him. The boat is now back in the water having had a bottom scrub and several coats of antifouling and various holes drilled for new equipment. Work continues however, there is still a great deal to do even though Chris comes home every day saying that we are nearly there. I am not contributing to these preparations as I am still in work. Progress is being made and departure is still planned for sometime towards the end of May.
